Did we cross that Bridge?
By Alan Rich
The 2010 Bridge Conference came and went just like that. Countless volunteer hours over the course of 10 months came down to what amounted to 48 hours of a fabulously produced, highly successful, Bridge Conference. Much of the credit goes to its co-chairs, Greg and Dayna.
I have been involved with the conference as a volunteer, co-chair and exhibitor since it’s inception in 2006 and have seen it grow and mature. For 2010, I worked closely with Terri Jones on the exhibitor side. Terri did a fabulous job selling out the exhibit hall and I was involved with making sure information went out to the exhibitors, keeping them updated to the goings on leading up to the conference and working closely with the other co-chairs to see that the exhibitors got a good traffic experience.
From the surveys taken, the people have spoken, and my own experience exhibiting this year, it was truly a great experience and successful conference. So, to answer the question, Did we cross the Bridge?, yes we most certainly did. The Bridge Conference is nationally recognized as the conference to attend. It has matured as a living, breathing life source that can and should be used as a source of information for everyone throughout the year, not just for 2 days in July.
I encourage you to patronize the exhibitor vendors that gave their time and to check the conference website, www.bridgeconf.org, throughout the year for updates to the 2011 Bridge Conference.
